GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
Under limited supervision, the Grounds Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for operations with-in maintenance, installation and supervision of all campus properties.  Supervise, evaluate and schedule grounds maintenance personnel.  Will be responsible for grounds related equipment, supplies and outdoor furnishings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
     - Coordinate routine and non-routine seasonal maintenance for campus trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals,
        turfgrass and native habitat.
     - Manage all athletic and recreational turf complexes.
     - Monitor and coordinate work on campus irrigation systems
     - Manage snow removal equipment and operations for main campus along with oversight in off-campus snow
        removal contracts.
     - Supervise, evaluate, hire, train and schedule full-time & part-time grounds maintenance personnel.
     - Evaluate and coordinate off-campus grounds contractors.
     - Supervise the design, installation and maintenance of new and seasonal landscape plantings.
     - Monitor departmental equipment inventory, utilization, replacement cycles, maintenance and repairs.
     - Maintain compliance in record keeping and required training.
     - Maintain chemical applicator’s certification and applies chemicals according to state requirements maintain
        required and accurate records.
     - Assist instructors and other user groups with campus activities that involve campus properties
     - Manage and maintain hard surface areas of campus properties(parking lots, roads, sidewalks, ADA)
     - Maintain exterior signage and flags of campus properties.

Objective:  Manage and develop the Turf Maintenance division for service for new and existing customers.

Responsibilities:
     - Recruit, train & supervise turf staff for quality & efficiency in turf related services.

General Summary: Provides grounds maintenance for commercial and multi-family properties including, but not limited to, mowing, upkeep of landscaping, planters, trees and bushes.  In the off season, will need to provide snow removal for commercial properties with company provided equipment.  This position will also assist other employees in all necessary areas of grounds maintenance.
